This 1973 Gibson SG Standard has weathered years of passionate play and attentive care, while maintaining its vintage charm. It proudly features original Gibson hardware, including Gibson tuning machines and a Gibson Wide Travel "Harmonica" Tune-o-matic Bridge with a stopbar tailpiece. While maintaining its authentic appearance, the guitar has seen some small updates such as new frets and a switch tip to extend its life and playability.

Showing signs of notable playwear, this SG Standard showcases several nicks on the front and edges of the body's lower bout. Light scratching around the pickguard and horns also add character, while the back of the body reveals scratching and small nicks in the finish. The neck and headstock also mirror this pattern of scratches.

The first 5 frets of this SG have been replaced, and all frets have undergone leveling, crowning, and polishing by our in-house technicians. Despite being very low to the fingerboard, these fret adjustments ensure a smooth playing experience. Residue from a strap block is also slightly visible around the upper strap button, and a 4-inch scar, evidence of a past repair, runs vertically from the back of the headstock to the neck. The guitar's history is etched in its scars and wear, reflecting a well-loved instrument with a balance of vintage character and enhanced performance.
