1967 Gibson Trini Lopez Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar, Sparkling Burgundy w/OHSC - Used

1967 Gibson Trini Lopez Semi-Hollow Electric Guitar, Sparkling Burgundy w/OHSC - Used

In 1964, Gibson unveiled the iconic Trini Lopez, a collaborative semi-hollow guitar based on the ES-335 platform but with distinctive design features that set it apart. With a documented history of a single owner, this 1967 boasts a Firebird-style headstock, split diamond inlays, a Sparkling Burgundy finish and matching diamond f-holes, all features that make this a notable Gibson.

This Trini Lopez shows a patina of authenticity, with general finish cracks. It wears its history with pride, exhibiting chips around the heel joint, on the headstock, and along the guitar's edge. It's also missing its inside orange label. Despite its age, it is in very good condition, showcasing Gibson's quality craftsmanship that stands the test of time.

Sporting a body made entirely of maple, this guitar offers the same classic warmth and grit associated with ES-335 models of the same era, furthered by its two patent Gibson Humbucker pickups. Its mahogany neck is cut into a sturdy, thick "C" profile, standard for the era, and is topped with a rosewood fingerboard, adorned with iconic Gibson Split Diamond inlays and Medium-Jumbo frets. The neck offers a 24.75" scale length. Versatility is a huge benefit of this instrument, with Volume and Tone knobs for each pickup independently, as well as a three-way switch allowing for individual pickup control, or a blend of both pickups.

A Tune-O-Matic bridge and Inline Metal Button tuning machines contribute to this vintage instrument's ability to stay in tune, and the nut is cut to a width of 1.56", offering ample fretting space in this guitar's low fret range. This vintage gem comes complete with its original hard case.
