Teenage Engineering EP-136 K.O. Sidekick 2-Channel Stereo Mixer
Get your K.O. II a new best friend with the EP-136 K.O. Sidekick, a 2-channel stereo mixer companion crafted by Teenage Engineering to supply your sampling setup with more channels, more effects, more control—more fun! Whether used with other TE tools or commanded as a standalone mixer, there's plenty of creative applications found within this portable unit.
Teenage Engineering has equipped the EP-136 with two 3.5mm inputs that can be used in tandem to produce a stereo source, with a third AUX input being utilized for a total of three simultaneous channels. One main 3.5mm output produces the entire mix from the EP-136 for recording, amplifying, or chaining into other mixers, and a 3.5mm cue output with volume control lets you control headphone levels when necessary. In addition, when USB connection is utilized, the EP-136 acts as an audio interface with MIDI control, opening the mixer up to the possibility of eight inputs and four outputs for further sonic expansion.
Diving into the processing side of the EP-136, TE has equipped each channel with 3-band EQ and gain parameters to dial in each sound to perfect tonality. Furthermore, each channel features a compressor to catch pesky peaks or crush to destructive effect. Beat matching is also integrated to each channel to sync units for well-timed performance. Once the channels hit the master section, motion control FX can be engaged to spice up the mix, with six total sounds accessible with the push of a button. Not just for live audio purposes but practical as the heart of a creative endeavor, the EP-136 caters to all uses for mixing, processing, and beyond.
Operable with two AAA batteries or USB-C connection, this audio powerhouse yearns to be powered anywhere. Whether in the studio, on stage, for standalone summing or linking an endless cascade of audio sources, let the EP-136 K.O. Sidekick be your new mixer secret weapon.
