Taylor 214ce-K Plus Grand Auditorium Acoustic Electric Guitar, Torrefied Spruce/Hawaiian Koa

Taylor 214ce-K Plus Grand Auditorium Acoustic Electric Guitar, Torrefied Spruce/Hawaiian Koa

From the expert craftspeople in Tecate, Mexico we have the Taylor 214ce-K Plus Grand Auditorium Acoustic Electric Guitar. The Taylor 200 series is renowned for providing players with an accessible instrument without compromise on premium appointments and tone. Featuring a torrefied spruce top and layered Hawaiian Koa back/sides, this 214ce-K Plus offers a lot to be excited about.

Designed to sit between a large dreadnought and a smaller concert style guitar, the Grand Auditorium fits just right for most players, offering the comfortable versatility of a smaller body with the fuller sound of a large strummer. Crafted from a torrefied spruce top and layered Hawaiian Koa back/sides, this 214ce offers a balanced and rich sound. Tonally, Koa is often compared to mahogany but with a touch of high end one could expect to find in maple. The added benefit of torrefaction to the top for added warmth and played-in depth make a sonic difference. Supporting the top, C-class bracing enhances low end frequencies for a louder and fuller sound. The body features a sharp Shaded Edgeburst gloss finish, black binding, Venetian cutaway, and faux pearl single ring rosette, for added flair.

Joining the body at the 14th fret, a Neo-Tropical Mahogany neck is topped with a West African Crelicam Ebony fingerboard and carved to a comfortable slim profile. The 25.5-inch scale length, matte finish neck, and 20 nickel frets make playing this 214ce feel easy. The strings are held in place thanks to the Crelicam ebony bridge, Micarta saddle, NuBone nut, and Taylor nickel tuners.

To amplify tone, the Taylor ES-2 electronic system does an exceptional job. With a simple master volume and 2-band EQ control set, it is fast and easy to dial in a tone and start playing. Complete with a Taylor AeroCase, this 214ce-K Plus is a master class in tone, appointments, and style.
