PRS NF 53 Electric Guitar, Maple Fingerboard, Blue Matteo
It's always bold, blue, and beautiful with a PRS NF 53. Designed for balancing a modern sound and playability with some more classic aesthetic flourishes, this PRS paints the town blue with an immersive musical experience.
Combining vintage tonality with a breakneck, modern, PRS design, the NF 53 takes inspiration from one of Paul Reed Smith's very own guitars dating all the way back to 1953. This inspiration manifests in a couple of elements while the guitar remains a striking creation all its own. The NF 53 starts out at is base with a body made of swamp ash with a Flat Top carve. This single-cutaway body carries comfortably and presents an eye-catching Blue Matteo finish for anyone to get lost in.
The swamp ash body is paired with a scarfed maple bolt-on neck in a PRS Pattern 53 profile, perfect for a slick grip in the palm. This maple neck features a semi-gloss finish for a smooth touch in hand. Maple also constitutes this guitar's fingerboard bearing twenty-two frets and PRS Birds inlays for that needed PRS visual stamp of authenticity. A 10" fingerboard radius measures flatter than the average modern board for a playing experience on the fingers that feels up to date and ready for excitement.
Sonically, the NF 53 comes alive with the addition of two PRS Narrowfield DD pickups. These "Deep Dish" pickups alter the original PRS Narrowfield design to incorporate taller bobbins to fit more winds in between the pickups' magnets for a more focused, concise, and powerful sound. PRS Narrowfields, known for their tonal balance between single-coil and humbucking sounds, summon a great deal of audible kick for being musically expressive. When combined with a number of fine hardware specs for playability, these Narrowfield humbuckers are a dream. The NF 53 comes equipped with a PRS Plate Style steel bridge and PRS Vintage-Style Non-Locking tuners. These two additions to the guitar stabilize the playing experience effectively for sturdiness and consistency.
Across the NF 53, players will surely find something to latch onto and start playing. For PRS fans new and experienced, this model is a winner.
