This Road Series entry begins, however, with a classic Martin tonewood combination of spruce and sapele. Together, these woods assemble in a D-14 Fret dreadnought shape that sits easily under the arm and produces authoritative acoustic projection. Martin's Aging Toner top color pushes the spruce's complexion easily into a vintage-leaning look while 5/16" scalloped spruce braces line up in an X-Brace pattern for enhancing volume and tonal complexity.

For the fretting hand, this Road Series drops in a select hardwood neck in a Martin Performing Artist profile with a High Performance taper.
