The Martin J-40 is an ornate orchestra-style acoustic. This guitar features a Sitka spruce top over Indian Rosewood back and sides, with an ebony fingerboard decked out with Martin's Reduced Hexagon abalone inlays. The previous owner of this Martin had a Trance Audio Amulet passive pickup system installed - this one being the Dual Mono, which are two transistors summed to a single output within the guitar. This means the user does not need a stereo or proprietary cable to play this J-40 to its fullest potential. The J-40 has the punch of a 000 or similar Orchestra with some extra body almost like a Dreadnought, since this design has a larger bout than a 000 or similar.
