It begins with a solid Spruce top with Scalloped X-bracing under the hood, highlighting picking hand definition and overall note clarity. It is paired to solid mahogany back and sides, known for overall warmth and depth.
The neck, featuring Dovetail construction, receives Martin's Modified Low Oval profile with High Performance Taper. This feature - as well as its Aging Toner top finish - is key in a series of new appointments offered on the Standard Series beginning in 2018, complementing each guitar's vintage-inspired visual appeal and offering enhanced comfortability and playability.
