Ibanez AZ Iron Label 6 String Electric Guitar, Black Flat

Ibanez AZ Iron Label 6 String Electric Guitar, Black Flat

Forged for the ferocity of extreme genres, Ibanez has taken the Iron Label to their beloved AZ series with the AZ Iron Label 6 String Electric Guitar, a powerful axe that shreds fast and chugs heavy while maintaining the comfort and balance that AZ's are known for.

This tonal menace is crafted from a solid piece of American basswood, finished in a black flat satin polyurethane finish. The roasted maple neck in the AZ Oval "C" profile will feel smooth and fast, and has been heat treated for stability against varying environments and temperatures. An ebony fretboard, segmented by 24 jumbo stainless steel frets, maintains a tight low-end without sacrificing the strong, responsive high-end.

Ibanez and DiMarzio crafted the Fusion Edge humbucker pickup, eliciting huge, distinct tones that are full in the bottom and top frequencies while omitting the muddy mid-range that is detrimental to chug-centric genres. These pickups, found in the neck and bridge positions, are controlled by master volume and tone knobs, and a 5-way pickup selector. To further the sonic possibilities, a dyna-MIX10 switching system with accompanied Alter switch has been implemented to change how the pickups behave, giving every crushing riff its own distinct voice.

To keep your lower-than-low tunings in check, a F106 bridge has been utilized to make palm muting more comfortable, optimizing string resonance and keeping intonation consistent. Doing the heavy work at the headstock are the Gotoh MG-T locking machine head tuners, a trusted mechanism for handling any and all tuning and gauge abuse that would challenge other guitars.

The definition of heavy has been expanded with the Ibanez AZ41B1BKF AZ Iron Label 6 String Electric Guitar, Black Flat.
