An ebony fretboard, segmented by 24 jumbo stainless steel frets, maintains a tight low-end without sacrificing the strong, responsive high-end.
Ibanez and DiMarzio crafted the Fusion Edge humbucker pickup, eliciting huge, distinct tones that are full in the bottom and top frequencies while omitting the muddy mid-range that is detrimental to chug-centric genres. These pickups, found in the neck and bridge positions, are controlled by master volume and tone knobs, and a 5-way pickup selector.
