Gretsch G6128T-GH George Harrison Signature Duo Jet w/ Bigsby Electric Guitar, Black

Gretsch G6128T-GH George Harrison Signature Duo Jet w/ Bigsby Electric Guitar, Black

Sure to put you on cloud nine, the Gretsch G6128T-GH George Harrison Signature Duo Jet celebrates the legendary guitarwork of everyone's favorite Beatle with Gretsch guitars. The guitar you see before you is modeled after Harrison's very own "first real decent guitar," a 1957 Gretsch Duo Jet, purchased secondhand in the early 1960s. Lighting up as a definite piece of Beatles history, this modeled recreation touches down as an honest to goodness Gretsch ready for any stage.

The G6128T-GH features a host of authentic appointments and modifications to mirror Harrison's 1957 original. This all starts with a lightweight '50s-style chambered mahogany body with an arched laminated maple top. Three-ply body binding wraps this single-cut frame in that classic suit-and-tie getup while a gloss finish makes it shine. Reaching out, a one-piece mahogany neck comes together with a "U"-shaped profile for a nice vintage feel in the palm. This neck pairs with a twelve-inch radius rosewood fingerboard bearing twenty-two Vintage Small frets. Great for all the wonderful riffs Harrison produced, these frets are notable for their smaller size and Hump Block pearloid inlays, capturing that all-important visual motif of Harrison's original.

For its voice, this Gretsch drops in two DynaSonic single-coil pickups. These unique pickups produce the great chime and twang of Harrison's early guitarwork for a honest and authentic sonic profile from the start. Primed for living your own Beatles fantasy, these pickups are expressive and reliable for an exceptional step into Harrison's shoes. Harrison's playability translates through this Duo Jet with a vintage-style "Rocking Bar" bridge with a rosewood base and Bigsby B3C vibrato tailpiece. These two hardware pieces are paired with Grover Sta-Tite die-cast tuning machines and a bone nut for tuning stability and sturdy intonation. An included Gretsch hardshell case travels with this Harrison special for safety and style.

Decades of legendary guitarwork made Harrison an icon, and yet, he never lost his love for Gretsch guitars. This special Gretsch Duo Jet commemorates years of marvelous music on the books, inviting Harrison's many followers to take a step forward and follow in his path.
