This iconic combo of tonewoods balances the woodiness and richness of mahogany with the top-end chirp of Sitka spruce for an indispensable sound. Traditional scalloped X-Bracing lines the top for enhanced projection and articulation while three-ply top and single-ply back binding wraps its edges for an added geometric accent.
Meeting the body, the LG-2 '50s Original introduces a mahogany neck with compound dovetail joint assembly using hot hide glue adhesive. The mahogany assumes a Rounded profile as it reaches from lower to higher registers. From there, an unbound rosewood fingerboard lands with twenty frets and Mother of Pearl dot inlays for a smooth, simple feel on the fingers. This playing experience matches comfort across the palm with precision on the fingertips for a musical experience boundlessly inspirational.
