Fender Player II Modified Telecaster Electric Guitar, Rosewood Fingerboard, Dusk

Fender Player II Modified Telecaster Electric Guitar, Rosewood Fingerboard, Dusk

Offering modern adjustments while maintaining the classic, vintage Fender feel, the Player II Modified Telecaster removes the need to decide between retro and contemporary function, supplying a solid, reliable, and affordable electric guitar that harnesses the best of both tonal worlds.

This Telecaster is crafted from a solid piece of Alder in the body, found here in a gloss polyester Dusk purple finish. Adorned with a black pickguard and silver hardware, the look of the Tele is sure to shine in all environments. Going up the guitar, a maple neck in the Modern "C" profile is utilized to offer players unmatched comfort with a smooth satin feel when sliding across the 25.5" scale length. A rosewood fingerboard is attached to the neck, giving defined pronunciation with each attack. Segmented by 22 Medium Jumbo frets and guided by white dot inlays, players will never have to fear losing their fretting.

For the modified, modern charm of this specific Telecaster, Fender has implemented Player II Noiseless Tele single-coil pickups in the neck and bridge positions, delivering the signature twang known from the model while cutting down on unwanted noises and hums. These pickups are well-rounded and sound great crystal clean or with varying amounts of gain. Continuing with the electronics, a treble bleed circuit has been installed in the master volume, allowing for high-end retention when rolling back on the guitar's volume. In addition, a push/pull mechanism is found within the tone knob, changing the pickup configuration from parallel to series wiring, leading to fatter tones and more sonic variation to make leads and chords distinct.

To ensure this Telecaster plays and sounds as it should, a Modern Tele bridge is found to provide perfect sustain and improved intonation, while the six block brass saddles space the strings appropriately for comfortable playability. Feeding into a TUSQ nut and deluxe cast sealed locking tuning machines, there's no need to worry when it comes to tuning stability—this Tele has it all figured out.
