Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition Brian Fallon '59 Telecaster Custom Electric Guitar, Black
Did you hear that? No, not the rattling chains in the hospital walls or the old gospel choir, but that our good friend Brian Fallon has collaborated with the Fender Custom Shop to deliver this Limited Edition Brian Fallon '59 Telecaster Custom. Limited to just 59 guitars worldwide, this custom creation embodies The Gaslight Anthem's frontman's vibe and tonal preferences while also paying homage to his influences: Bruce Springsteen and Joe Strummer. The result is a Telecaster that is one of a kind to the NJ native, dressed in a sleek double bound black finish.
In traditional Telecaster fashion, the '59 Telecaster Custom is constructed from a 2-piece, single-cutaway alder body. A popular and lightweight tonewood known for a balanced frequency range with clear mids. The top and back of the body are wrapped in 1-ply white binding which pops wonderfully against the black nitrocellulose lacquer. Finish checking and patina are tastefully on display throughout the guitar thanks to the Journeyman Relic finish treatment. The body is completed with a 3-ply parchment pickguard.
For its voice, a set of Righteous Sound "Fourth Man" pickups are employed to get the job done. Don't let the size of the neck pickup fool you, that’s no humbucker. Instead, a split single-coil is housed under the cover. These pickups feature Dual Stack HS Tele wiring and deliver a midrangy bite, perfect for cutting through any mix. Tone can be further explored with the simple master volume/tone controls and 3-position blade switch.
Working our way up the guitar, a 1-piece riftsawn maple neck sports a '60s Oval "C" shape and is attached to the body by 4-bolts. Topping the neck is a 9.5-inch radius flat-laminated AAA grade piece of dark rosewood. The fingerboard is crowned with 21 vintage upgrade frets and accented with white dot position inlays. Strings are loaded through the '63 Telecaster bridge with RSD Brass Saddles, make contact at the bone nut, and are strung to pitch at the vintage style tuning machines.
Complete with a deluxe hardshell case and certificate of authenticity, the Brian Fallon '59 Telecaster Custom offers fans a unique take on the working man's instrument, inviting them to make their own sonic mark.
