The foundation of this guitar is based on a '62 Jazzmaster model. Constructed with an era-specific 2-Piece Alder body that makes for a less heavy guitar, this '62 Jazzmaster's finish is a standout feature, showcasing Fender Custom Shop's precision in relic'ing instruments. The Nitrocellulose Lacquer Shell Pink finish is designed to showcase vintage charm, simulating the worn-in wear of a guitar that has seen years of use in various venues. The shell pink color is worn down to the point that the alder underneath is visible in small portions of its body.

This Custom Shop '62 Jazzmaster is host to a comfortable, '62 Jazzmaster-style neck made from plain grain maple, as well as a beautiful, dark slab AAA Rosewood fingerboard featuring 21 frets and a 25.5" scale length, complemented by clay dot inlays that are also a truly unique feature of this CS beauty. In addition, one of the most striking visual elements of this guitar is undoubtedly the matching painted headcap, adding a slight symmetry to the appearance. The headstock is finished with a nitrocellulose satin Relic finish, perfectly complementing the body's worn-in appearance. The relic'd aesthetics of this guitar extend to the vintage-style tuners with the iconic Fender logo on them, and Aged White covers on the pickups.

Under the hood, a pair of Custom Shop '62 Jazzmaster Flat Magnet Pole Relic'd pickups are responsible for the tonal side of this guitar. Designed in-house in Corona, CA, these pickups are specifically wound to offer a vintage-inspired, classic Jazzmaster tone while also supplying a modern level of reliability. The pickups are easily controlled by a Master Volume, Master Tone, and a 3-Way pickup selector switch, allowing for a blend or individual pickup tones.
