One of our all-time favorite Fender Colors here at Russo is Charcoal Frost Metallic. It looks good on anything. Especially a 1960 P-Bass with a gold anodized pick guard and a dark-tinted maple neck! Designed and spec-ed out by our staff, this one-off Closet Classic 1960 P-Bass has the features you'd expect from a custom shop P-Bass like an ash body, and FCS 59-62 P-Bass pickups as well as 1-piece, quartersawn maple neck with dark tint, the aforementioned gold guard, and a bone nut.
This bass plays and feels great.. The oval "C" neck from 1960's is one of the most comfortable and fits right in the palm of your hand. Tonally, it has plenty of snap, punch, and smoothness. It's exactly what you'd expect from a P-Bass and more. We are going to be sad to see this one go. It's honestly one of our favorite instruments we've ever received from the Fender Custom Shop.
