Fender 75th Anniversary Vintera Road Worn 1951 Telecaster Electric Guitar, Butterscotch Blonde
Three quarters of a century on and we've yet to tire of the Tele – case in point: The Fender 75th Anniversary Vintera Road Worn 1951 Telecaster. Part of Fender's 75th Anniversary Telecaster Collection, this Vintera Series Tele celebrates the foundational sounds and revolutionary designs of one of Fender's staple models. A Telecaster as you've always known it, seventy-five years on and this single-cut icon has yet to lose its luster.
The 75th Anniversary Vintera 1951 Telecaster begins, like many great Teles have, with an ash, single-cutaway body. Swamp ash in particular presents a solidbody that is light and resonant like its '50s Teles predecessors. A Fender Road Worn nitrocellulose lacquer finish wraps the swamp ash body for a lived-in, vintage-style look and feel. This swamp ash body is met with a similarly Road Worn maple neck in a 1951 "U" profile for a distinctly retro feel with a hand-filling shape with plenty of shoulder. A maple fingerboard matches with twenty-one Vintage Tall frets for an articulate fretting experience across a rounder, vintage-reminiscent 7.25" radius.
For its voice, the 75th Anniversary Vintera 1951 Telecaster brings on two Pure Vintage "51 Telecaster single-coil pickups. Meant to summon plenty of twang, snap, and heat – the kind we've all come to know and love – these pickups carry with them classic Fender character. Backing up these pickups' voice is a Vintage-Style 3-Saddle bridge with brass barrel saddles. A solid connection from string to body and steady intonation presents, as is it does with its bone nut, a fluid playing experience. This 75th Anniversary Vintera 1951 Telecaster travels with an included Fender tweed hardshell case.
Seventy-five years on and with a historic legacy to its name, the Telecaster keeps rolling with this limited 75th Anniversary Collection model.
