This Fender 70th Anniversary Ultra Stratocaster HSS commemorates seven decades of iconic style and timeless tone, and incorporates modern flair in the form of a unique pickup configuration and its beautiful Amethyst finish. Each of model in this 70th Anniversary collection pays respect to the rich heritage of the Strat, catering to both vintage purists and modern players.

Cut from alder, the body of this 70th Anniversary American Ultra Stratocaster features a classic silhouette of two deep cutaways, and the typical Strat belly contour cutaway for comfort. A 3-ply, black/white/black pickguard occupies the top of the guitar.

Connected with a robust 4-bolt neck plate, the neck of this HSS beauty is carved into a  Modern D profile from maple, roasted to remove impurities and improve neck stability. The neck boasts a hand-applied, oil-based urethane finish on the back and front, with a satin urethane finish on the headstock face. With Ultra rolled fingerboard edges, the 10"-14" compound-radius maple fingerboard is divided by 22 medium-jumbo frets.

This Strat boasts a unique HSS pickup configuration: two 70th Anniversary Ultra Noiseless Strat pickups and the 70th Anniversary Ultra Quadra Tap Humbucker. A 5-position switching blade allows control over these pickups, which add a new level of versatility to the already notoriously versatile instrument. 

Boasting a gloss Urethane finish in Amethyst, hardware specs include a Deluxe cast/sealed locking, a pop-in trem arm and a Bullet-style truss rod.
