Epiphone Les Paul Standard '50s Left-Handed Electric Guitar, Metallic Gold
THERE ARE NO PHOTOS OF THIS FROM GIBSON ANYWHERE; WILL NEED TO BE TRANSFERRED AND SHOT AS TIME PERMITS
The history of the Les Paul guitar is a journey that began in the early 1940s, and the Epiphone Les Paul Standard '50s is a left-handed addition to that long, illustrious history, featuring "Inspired by Gibson" specs and design.
Sporting a resonant and warm mahogany body that's topped with a carved hard maple cap featuring a striking AAA flame veneer, this guitar evokes classic Les Paul aesthetic while incorporating some more contemporary technology.
Designed for comfort, the ’59 Rounded Medium C neck is a throwback to the golden age of guitar craftsmanship. While original early Les Paul models featured hand-carved necks, this neck profile is Epiphone's attempt at recreating the vintage handfeel associated with vintage necks. On its neck, the Epiphone Les Paul Standard '50s features a 12" radius fingerboard made from Indian laurel that offers a total scale length of 24.75", Trapezoid inlays, and 22 medium jumbo frets.
The Epiphone Les Paul Standard ’50s is powered by Alnico ProBucker pickups that recreate the vintage PAF humbucker tone. The ProBucker-1 in the neck and the slightly overwound ProBucker-2 in the bridge deliver a dynamic range of sound from warm highs to a tight bottom with excellent sustain, the classic Les Paul sound.
Epiphone's attention to detail is evident in every component of the Les Paul Standard ’50s. The Epiphone Vintage Deluxe machine heads help with precise tuning, while the LockTone ABR Tune-o-matic bridge ups this guitar's sustain and resonance. CTS ’50s-style wiring adds to the vintage tonal authenticity, creating an instrument that doesn't just look the part but plays and sounds the part too. The gold top hat knobs, cream binding, and Trapezoid fingerboard inlay add the finishing touches to this affordable '50s-style Les Paul.
