Epiphone Flying V '70s Electric Guitar, Maui Blue
Bringing back the charm of the 1970s we have the Epiphone Flying V '70s. Ahead of its time in 1958, it would take almost 10 years before guitarist's truly adopted the Flying V and increased the model's popularity. Seen in the hands by famous players such as Jimmy Hendrix, Steve Jones, and K.K. Downing, this Flying V offers retro vibe with a twist.
Designed like its vintage counter part, this '70s V is constructed from a 2-piece, center-seamed solid mahogany body. A rounded "C" mahogany neck is glued into the body and is topped with an ebony fingerboard and crowned with 22 medium jumbo frets. Authentic '70s specs like a neck volute, witch hat control knobs, and the shorter arrow-head headstock haven't been forgotten either. For amplification, 2 Epiphone T-Type PRO Humbuckers are in the neck and bridges positions. These pickups accurately capture the bold sound and rich sustain V's of the '70s are revered for.
