2006 Taylor 414ce Acoustic-Electric Guitar, Natural w/ OHSC - Used
This 414ce is an early iteration of Bob Taylor's popular Grand Auditorium innovation, predating the Andy Powers era of Taylor design and construction. This model features a solid Sitka Spruce top and solid African Ovangkol back and sides, which was standard for 400 series Taylors as of the late 90s. Cream binding on the top and back outline and highlight the attractive hues that come through on the Ovangkol grain. This guitar was built in Taylor's southern California factory with traditional X bracing, which has become a rarity among US-made Taylors outside of their Legacy Collection. One other Easter egg is the uniquely visible scarfed "finger" joint where the headstock meets the neck, another Bob Taylor innovation that signals to an earlier era of manufacture. The guitar also comes equipped with Taylor's proprietary Expression System pickup that utilizes a microphone and under-saddle sensor.
Excellent condition. There are a few surface dings on the top of the guitar near the bridge.
