Martin 2009 Jorma Kaukonen M-30 Signed With OHSC - Used
This is the Martin M-30 Jorma Custom Artist Signature Guitar.
Played and hand signed by Jorma himself and there is photographic proof on an SD card in the case.
Jorma is best known for his time in both Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna and Rolling Stone has him ranked among the top guitarists of all time. To honor his legacy, Martin issued the M-30 which was designed to Jorma's specs.
The top here is solid Italian Alpine Spruce and the back and sides are East Indian Rosewood. Jorma had them shift the bracing forward for a fuller, more dynamic overall tone. To top it off, the soundhole is slightly larger as well. The M-30 Jorma Kaukonen Custom has deep lows that you can feel, with enough high end mids for note articulation.
The satin finished mahogany neck is attached at the 14th fret and features a comfortable, .89" deep at the 5th fret, modern V profile. The Maltese custom pattern inlays add a nice touch to the grained ivoroid bound ebony fingerboard. Features also include a bone nut/saddle, full body binding, open gear Waverly tuners, and an abalone headstock inlay.
This M-30 Jorma Kaukonen Custom Artist Signature Custom Shop is in good overall condition - there are several dings and dents throughout and wear on the back of the neck. None of them affect the playability or sound of the guitar.
Includes the original Martin hardshell case which has a missing back latch.
