Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition '57 Stratocaster Journeyman, Super Faded Aged Shell Pink Electric Guitar
This Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition '57 Stratocaster Journeyman is a tribute to the legend that is one of Fender’s most enticing vintage model years. There is abundant vintage style and flair throughout the instrument with some electrical hot-rodding to bring the output levels into the modern era.
The deep-contoured, 2-piece alder body is decked out in Super Faded Aged Shell Pink—an undeniable fan-favorite—with a tasteful Journeyman treatment throughout. The implied age is present in all the glorious details: small, down-to-the-wood nicks and dings, fine checking lines across the body, vintage aged white covers and knobs, and a touch of discoloration around the horns and cutaway all lend an authentically well-loved look to the guitar.
The neck has taken on a nice, yellowed hue in the ageing process and there is some fret ghosting down to the wood on the higher strings in 1st position. The back of the neck is worn down buttery smooth from the first to twelfth fret; uncommon to see on a Journeyman, but definitely not unwelcome. The ‘57 Style Soft “V” profile feels substantial in the hand and measures .850” at the first fret and deepens to .990” at the twelfth fret. The fretboard is decked out with 21 Narrow Tall frets—6105 for those in the know. The radius is updated for improved playability from the vintage spec to a more modern 9.50”.
Loaded into the body are a glorious sounding trio of hand wound Strat Fat ‘50s pickups. The middle pickup is reverse wound/reverse polarity for hum cancellation and the whole thing is wired together with 5-way blade switch, master volume, and 2 tone controls.
Weighing in at just 7lbs 13.7oz, this guitar ships complete with COA, FCS Strat/Tele tweed case, and all the case candy and goodies.

- 6105 Narrow Tall Frets
- All Hand-Wound Pickups with RWRP Middle
